senior shareholder
Don Radakovich, CPA is our senior shareholder and the ‘R’ in R&A. He has been with the firm for 40 years. He is experienced in all aspects of accounting systems and internal controls, complex corporate and personal tax issues, income and estate tax planning, banking relationships, automotive dealerships, and personal financial planning. Don earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Wyoming. He is a past president of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) and was a member of the AICPA Council. He sits or has sat on the Board for several not-for-profit and corporate entities. Outside of the office, Don enjoys golf, racquetball, weightlifting, and watching sports. He also likes to read and go to the movies.

Thomas K. Furrier, CPA is the co-shareholder-in-charge of the tax department with Tariq Khan. He has over 25 years of public accounting experience. Tom’s expertise is in the area of tax compliance and planning for partnerships, corporations and individuals. Tom also has significant experience with not-for-profit accounting and tax issues. Tom holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University. He is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs. Tom is also a board member of the YMCA of Metro Tucson and is active with the national and local Sigma Chi fraternal organizations. Outside of the office, Tom enjoys participating in a variety of motor sports and spending time with his family.

Tariq Khan, CPA is the co-shareholder-in-charge of the tax department with Tom Furrier. He has over 30 years of public accounting, including 15 years experience owning his own practice. Tariq’s expertise is in the area of business and personal income tax planning, real estate partnerships including homebuilders and developers, trust and estate compliance, healthcare providers, litigation support, and accounting and consulting services for closely-held businesses. Tariq holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Arizona. He is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs. Tariq enjoys playing golf and spending time with the family.

Phillip C. Dalrymple, CPA is the shareholder-in-charge of the assurance department. He has 16 years of public accounting experience and one year private industry experience with a national land development and homebuilding company. Phil joined R&A in 2002 as Senior Manager and was accepted into the partnership in 2004. Prior to joining R&A, Phil worked for Coopers & Lybrand in their Tucson and Los Angeles offices as a manager in their Not-for-Profit, Construction, Financial Services and Pension Plan Groups and as a lead manager for the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Job Shop practice. Phil has extensive experience primarily in the auditing and full disclosure financial reporting arena and in providing management consulting for a wide variety of client industries. Expertise includes planning and managing the delivery of auditing and accounting services, resolving technical issues, communicating internal control and operational improvements, implementing financial reporting and disclosure requirements and preparing financial statements. Additionally, Phil has experience providing forensic accounting, fraud identification and prevention and consulting assistance to companies subject to Federal Acquisition Regulations. Industries served includes employee benefit plans, construction, homebuilding, real estate, manufacturing, mining and mineral extraction, investment companies, broker/dealers in securities, retail, hospitality, not-for-profit organizations and charter schools. Phil holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Arizona. Phil is licensed in Arizona and California and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Arizona Society of CPAs and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Phil also volunteers as Treasurer for the Pusch Ridge Archers.

Rodolfo C. Paredes, CPA is the co-shareholder-in-charge of the tax department with Tom Furrier and Tariq Khan. He has 14 years of public accounting experience and 3 years of private industry experience with international logistics and trade companies. Prior to joining R&A in 2004 as a manager, “Rudy” worked for the Nogales, Arizona firm Jeong & Puchi, P.C. His experience includes providing assurance, tax advisory and compliance services to an array of clients in the retail, wholesale distribution, real estate development and international logistics industries. As a complement to these services he oversees the tax department’s specialized service areas which include International Taxation, Cost Segregation, and Energy and Employment Credits. Rudy holds B.S. degrees in Accounting and Marketing from Arizona State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants. Rudy serves on the Tucson City Lighthouse YMCA Board of Managers and heads the Finance Committee. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in the sports of triathlon and cycling.
